Influencia de las variables sociodemográficas y profesionales en el colectivo de enfermería

Abstract

[spa] El objetivo de este estudio consiste en analizar si las variables sociodemográficas se relacionan con las dimensiones de la inteligencia emocional. Además de comprobar si los participantes de la muestra presentan unas puntuaciones adecuadas de inteligencia emocional. Para ello se obtuvo una muestra compuesta por 172 participantes. De entre ellos, el 57.0% de estudiantes de enfermería de la Universidad de las Islas Baleares (UIB), 22.1% profesionales de enfermería (9.9% enfermeros/as y 12.2% auxiliares de enfermería) procedentes del Hospital Comarcal de Inca y 20.9% supervisores/as procedentes del Hospital Son Espases cuyas edades están comprendidas entre 18-61 años (M=31,41; DT=13,720). En este estudio se planteó un diseño descriptivo-cuantitativo transversal. Se les administró un breve cuestionario que recogía un conjunto de variables sociodemográficas junto con el Trait Meta-Mood Scale escala reducida (TMMS-24) para evaluar la inteligencia emocional. Los resultados obtenidos apuntan que las variables sociodemográficas: categoría profesional, años de experiencia, tipo de contrato y tiene hijos/as, presentan diferencias estadísticamente significativas en las 3 dimensiones de la inteligencia emocional. La variable edad y años de experiencia correlacionan de forma positiva con la regulación emocional. Sin embargo, no se han encontrado diferencias significativas en la variable sexo y situación familiar. Por otra parte, las puntuaciones obtenidas por la muestra son adecuadas aunque hay diferencias entre las distintas categorías de la variable profesión. Como conclusión, los resultados obtenidos se corroboran con los de otras investigaciones previas y con las hipótesis planteadas en este proyecto. Aun así, sería interesante desarrollar futuras líneas de estudio dirigidas en esta misma dirección.

[eng] The aim of this study consists in analysing if the sociodemographic variables influence on the Emotional Intelligence factors. In addition to checking if the participants of the sample present some suitable punctuations of emotional intelligence. For this obtained a compound sample by 172 participants. From among them, 57.0% of students of infirmary of the University of the Balearic Islands (UIB), 22.1% professionals of infirmary (9.9% nurses and 12.2% infirmary assistant) pertinent of the Hospital Comarcal de Inca and 20.9% of the Hospital Son Espases. Of ages comprised between 18-61 years (M=31,41; DT=13,720). It administered them a brief questionnaire that collected a group of variables sociodemográficas together with the Trait Put-Mood Scale scale reduced (TMMS-24) to evaluate the emotional intelligence. The results obtained aim that the sociodemographic variables: profession, age, years of experience, type of agreement and descendants present differences in the 3 factors of the emotional intelligence. On the other hand, the punctuations obtained by the sample are adapted although there are differences between the different categories of the profession variable. In conclusion, the results obtained corroborate with the ones of other previous investigations and with the hypotheses posed in this project. However, it would be interesting to develop future lines of study directed in this same direction.
