Evolució dels nivells piezomètrics de les masses d’aigua subterrània de l’illa d’Eivissa

Abstract

[cat] En un territori com l'illa d'Eivissa, de clima mediterrani, amb un període de sequera estival molt acusada i amb una intensa evapotranspiració, l'aigua és un recurs escàs i per tant de molt valor. L'expansió del consum hídric a les Illes Balears a partir de la dècada dels seixanta, juntament amb l'absència d'una planificació i gestió hídrica racionals, van conduir al deteriorament dels recursos hídrics de l'arxipèlag. D'altra banda, cal advertir que, a l'arxipèlag balear, a diferència d'altres regions de l'estat espanyol, la major part dels recursos hídrics provenen de les aigües subterrànies. Per tant, la escassa disponibilitat d'aigües superficials ha provocat l'explotació de pous, i, en conseqüència, moltes de les masses d'aigua subterrànies pateixen de sobreexplotació i problemes d'intrusió marina.

[eng] In a territory such as the island of Ibiza, with a Mediterranean climate, with a period of summer drought very accused and with intense evapotranspiration, water is a scarce resource and therefore of great value. The expansion of water consumption in the Balearic Islands as of the sixties, together with the absence of rational water planning and management, led to the deterioration of the water resources of the archipelago. On the other hand, it should be noted that, in the Balearic archipelago, unlike other regions of Spain, most of the water resources come from groundwater. Therefore, the scarce availability of surface water has caused the exploitation of wells, and consequently many of the underground water bodies suffer from overexploitation and problems of marine intrusion.
