Esport i inclusió social a Mallorca en perspectiva històrica: el cas de l’Asil de Natzaret

Abstract

[cat] El present treball està centrat en l’asil-internat-escola de Natzaret (Palma, Mallorca) analitzat des d’una perspectiva de l’educació física, l’esport i el bàsquet. Hem fet una primera aproximació al que ha suposat el lleure esportiu i l’esport de competició en el projecte de formació i d’inclusió en un període de la institució (1924-1965). És un treball elaborat a través de fotografies de l’arxiu de Natzaret, consultes als diaris de La Almudaina i el Diario de Mallorca i de literatura bibliogràfica. Més específicament el treball es centra en la pràctica del bàsquet a l’internat de Natzaret entre els anys 1951 i 1962. Amb aquest treball es cerca descobrir com vivien els nins i joves d’un asil-internat-escola en una època autoritària i la importància que va tenir per a ells l’educació física, l’esport i el lleure.

[eng] This Works talks about the refuge-boarding school of Natzaret, analised from a perspective of physical education, sport and basketball. We approached the effect on the project of inclussion and education of sport leisure and sport competition in a period between the years 1924 and 1965. We elaborated this assignement through the photographies in the archive of Natzaret, articles in different newspapers like La Almudaina and Diario de Mallorca and furthermore in more bibliography. More specifically the work is focused on the practice of basketball in the boarding school between the years 1951 and 1962. We try in this work to find out how the kids and youngsters lived in this refuge-boarding school in a period of authoritarism, and what sport meant to their development and education.
