[eng] The arrival of a daughter or son may cause some ambivalence for the members of a family unit. If the mother and father receive the necessary emotional and material support, if they are understood, listened with empathy and solidarity and they are recognized as competent genitors, they will be in better conditions to take care of their baby without feeling the need to have to delegate their attention prematurely to third parties. For this reason, this familiar support project, specifically a “Espai Nadó” (Baby Space), is designed for those families who are at the time of parenting between 0 and 9 months of age. In order to do this, we have studied the theme of family spaces as well as the families accompaniment during the first year of their child's life, as well as knowing the interests and needs of the families of Montuïri and the context where the project is located. At the same time, the main characteristics of a baby space have been investigated, along with collaborative work with the different fields related to early childhood.
