[spa] Technology has become an important tool in our lives in such a way that we are spending many hours in front of a screen. Many authors have wanted to study the benefits of the
video games when they are used in the classroom, as an element of curricular content. Along these lines, the current study analyzes the interrelation between video games and enriching language, especially in the semantic field at school. For this reason, the study focuses on a sample of 59 students from sixth grade, of 4 different educational centers, analyzed by a questionnaire and the CELF-5. With this first evaluation of the semantic level of the children, we have been able to test their specific and general lexicon whether their own language and the foreign language. In the first case, children learn specific lexicon when they use more hours, and their marks are better than the others. It is not the same when we are talking about general lexicon. Finally, these results say that the videogames have to change to a educational point of view for introduce them in primary schools.
