[eng] Introduction: Due to the repercussions that an injury has within the sports world and being these more prevalent in the lower extremities, it is important to develop a system that enables them to be predicted effectively allowing a proactive approach to its prevention. The FMSTM is a system that has gained popularity in recent years as an injury predictor, being widely used in sports. However, currently it is still unknown if it really has predictive value. Objective: The objective of the present study is to review the predictive capacity of lower limb injuries in FMST Mathletes. Methods A bibliographic research was carried out until March 2020 in the following databases: Medline, PEDro, LILIACS, IBECS, BVS, EBSCOhost (SportDiscus, Academic Search, CINAHL), Cochrane Library and ScienceDirect. It was limited to the last 5 years and included only prospective studies that analyze the relationship between the FMSTM and the risk of lower limb injuries in athletes. Results: 15articles have been analyzed, of which 6 showed significant results that related the FMSTM with injury risk, while 9 found no relationship. Furthermore, 11 used a cut-offscore of14 and 6 analyzed asymmetries. Conclusion:The composite score of the FMSTM system does not show a predictive value in the injury risk, therefore its use cannot be recommended as a tool to predict the risk of lower limb injuries
