La masificación turística en las Islas Baleares; magnitud, causas y políticas

Abstract

[spa] El turismo de masas es conocido desde la primera mitad del siglo XX y cada vez más, se lo está relacionando con el modelo de sol y playa, este fenómeno turístico ha conllevado innumerables aportaciones a la economía balear, pero también ha traído consigo una serie de daños que, hasta cierto punto, son irremediables. En este trabajo abordaré la evolución del turismo en Baleares, sus causas, repercusiones en las islas y algunas políticas que se podrían aplicar para solucionar la masificación, todo ello en base a las aportaciones de diversos estudios, artículos y expertos en la materia.

[eng] Mass tourism is known since the first half of the twentieth century and increasingly, is being related to the sun and beach model, this tourism phenomenon has brought countless contributions to the Balearic economy, but has also brought with it a series of damages that, to a certain point, they are irremediable. In this work I will discuss the evolution of tourism in the Balearic Islands, its causes, repercussions on the islands and some policies that could be applied to solve the overcrowding, all based on the contributions of various experts in the field.
