[eng] It is said that it is not until you live with functional diversity in first term, that you don’t become aware of what it implies. With this project my intention is to uncover this reality to society, through the study of the case of a nine year old Down Sindrome child, who currently attends the third grade of Primary Education in an ordinary school.
It presents a theoretical framework on the syndrome, a review of the laws on education and rights of people with some type of functional diversity, and an explanation of the history of inclusion, emphasizing its importance in society.
Once the theoretical framework is cleared, I present Pol’s case, with the purpose of approaching and normalizing this reality, and with the intention of raising awareness amongst the readers about functional diversity and the importance of instilling inclusive values, so that all people can fully experience and exercise our rights as citizens.
