[eng] According to the National Statistics Institute (INE), in 2019, 19'40% of the Spanish population was over 65; this age group was represented in Balearic Islands by 15'82% of the total population of this community and, according to some institutional organizations, this trend is on the rise. Therefore, it is convenient to examine what could be the variables that would help people to pass a more functional old age with a higher quality of life. To actively age, it is recommended to have a pattern of physical activity sufficient to maintain the psychosocial and physical, mental and affective health aspects of the elderly (Aparicio, Carbonell & Delgado, 2010). Likewise, it seems that selective auditory and visual attention, working memory and speed and flexibility in processing are the most sensitive variables to physical exercise (Franco-Martín et al., 2013). The objective of this study was to inquire the effects of physical activity on attention and working memory and answer the question of how it affects these variables to see how improvement can be achieved in this regard. For this, working memory was evaluated using the WAIS-IV digit span (Weschler, 2012) and attention using the Trail Making Test (TMT) (United States Army, 1944); these measurements were made before and after the application of a multi-component exercise program called Vivifrail. The results did not show significant differences between the pre and post tests.
