[eng] The present study presents two main targets: To analyze the differences between positive and
negative parenting, in a sample of children with ADHD and a norm-typical sample; and second,
to analyze the relationship between the measure of parenting of parents and family stress in the
sample of children with ADHD. For this, there was a small sample (N = 20) of families where the
child has ADHD and a norm-type group (N = 50). There were administered, to the experimental
group, the FSI and APQ tests; on the other side, the normative group only had information
regarding the APQ. Due to the small nature of the sample, a comparison has been made with
two references studies of the measures of ADHD (Elgar et al., 2006) and of the FSI (Riley et al.,
2006), to verify its representativeness, hypothesizing that no significant differences were found
between our sample and the one of the studies. After analyzing the results, it has been
observed that families with a child with ADHD experienced worst scores of poor supervision and
total parenting. In addition, when comparing family stress scores with those of parenting styles,
significant correlations were observed, indicating that a worse parental style is related to higher
family stress.
