TND.
[eng] Attention Deficit Hyperactivity Disorder (ADHD) is a common neurodevelopmental
disorder of childhood characterized by a permanent set of inattentive, hyperactive and
impulsive behaviors that alter executive functioning. The aim has been to analyze in
which executive functions, measured by different neuropsychological tasks and a
behavioral measure, children with ADHD present more difficulties. For this purpose,
tasks from the WISC-V, the NEPSY-II and the CPT-3 were administered to a sample of
ADHD children and, for their parents, the BDEF-CA questionnaire. The K-BIT was
used for the control of IQ. The results of the clinical sample were compared with the
means of a theoretical reference sample. Significant differences with moderate/large
effect sizes were obtained in practically all neuropsychological measures. Subjects in
the clinical sample showed worse executive performance, without this executive deficit
being attributable to low IQ. The behavioral measures (CABI) and the BDEF, assessed
by parents and academic tutors, were compared both with each other and with the
neuropsychological measures. Results showed little relationship between behavioral and
neuropsychological measures, a non-significant relationship between BDEF and
neuropsychological measures, and significant correlations between practically all
behavioral measures and parental BDEF. We conclude that the children in the sample
show high difficulties in neuropsychological executive functioning but few behavioral
problems. It is confirmed that the neuropsychological measures and the behavioral
measure of executive functioning evaluate different aspects, that mothers evaluate the
BDEF better and that it is related to more ADHD and ODD problems.
