[eng] This study represents a classical iconography approximation focussed on Venus as a
mythological figure in the Renaissance paintings. This study will provide an overview
of the stylistic reinforcement's period, from the moment when the iconographic models
from the Classical Antiquity were accepted through its blending with the Christian
tradition. The iconographic renewal of Venus will be analysed from the myth's
codification by linking the classical tradition with the Neoplatonic Renaissance culture.
This study will reference some Sandro Botticelli and Titian Vecellio's art works,
whereby they use the figure of Venus as the central iconography of their thematic
composition. The reception and influence of these allegoric art works will be argued in
the following artistic periods.
