Creación de contenido informativo de la relevancia de los tests genéticos destinado al perfil de cliente del programa Salud 10

Abstract

[spa] En este proyecto, llevado a cabo en ‘Salud10, Nutrición y Calidad de Vida’, perteneciente al Instituto Médico Rosselló, se plantearon tres objetivos que se relacionan entre sí, y que estaban enfocados a preparar contenido informativo para los pacientes de la clínica. El primer objetivo fue identificar el perfil de paciente más frecuente que acude al centro para una intervención nutricional. El segundo fue valorar si hay diferencias en el proceso de pérdida de peso entre los pacientes que han realizado un test genético de referencia (Metigentity) y son sometidos a una intervención nutricional, teniendo en cuenta los resultados de dicho test, en comparación con los pacientes que comienzan una intervención nutricional sin realizar el test genético. El tercer objetivo fue crear material informativo para los pacientes, con el fin de que conozcan los polimorfismos de más interés y el valor añadido que podría suponer la realización de la prueba genética de referencia para la mejora de su salud. El desarrollo de estos objetivos ha permitido llegar a conclusiones sobre el perfil de paciente más frecuente que, según el promedio de los datos, serían mujeres con un IMC superior a valor límite de normopeso y con niveles de HDL bajos. El número de casos con test genético fue muy limitado; no se observó beneficio en cuanto la pérdida de peso en el caso mujer, pero sí a corto plazo en los casos hombres. Se ha generado el material informativo en forma de folletos y una presentación visual para proyectar en la sala de espera.

[eng] In this project, carried out in 'Salud10, Nutrición y Calidad de Vida', belonging to the Rosselló Medical Institute, three different but interrelated objectives were proposed, focused on preparing informative content for patients who come to the clinic The first objective was to identify the profile of the most frequent patient who comes to the center for a nutritional intervention. The second was to assess whether there are differences in the weight loss process between patients who have undergone a reference genetic test (Metigentity) and undergo a nutritional intervention, considering the results of said test, compared to patients who begin a nutritional intervention without performing the genetic test. The third objective was to create informative material for patients, to make them aware of the most significant polymorphisms and the added value that undergoing the reference genetic test could entail for the improvement of their health. The development of these objectives has allowed us to reach conclusions about the most frequent patient profile that, according to the average of the data, women with a BMI higher than a normal weight limit value and with low HDL levels. The number of cases with genetic testing was very limited; no benefit was reported in terms of weight loss in women, there were short term benefits in men. Information material has been generated in the form of brochures and a visual presentation to project in the waiting room.
