The role of social networks in spreading tourism news. Instagram and Covid-19

Abstract

[eng] This Bachelor’s Thesis has analysed the role of social media in spreading tourism news. More specifically, it has centred its attention to study official Instagram accounts and how those selected profiles have played its role informing about the latest news during the pandemic situation lived worldwide in 2020 caused by the infectious disease, Coronavirus. The thesis has based its research in official touristic and governmental accounts of Spain.

[spa] Esta tesis de Grado ha analizado el papel de las redes sociales a la hora de difundir noticias sobre turismo. Mas específicamente, ha centrado su atención en el estudio de cuentas oficiales de Instagram y como los perfiles seleccionados han jugado su papel a la hora de informar sobre las ultimas noticias durante la situación de pandemia vivida mundialmente en 2020 causada por el virus infeccioso, Coronavirus. La tesis ha basado su búsqueda en cuentas turísticas y cuentas gubernamentales oficiales de España.
