for only a decade, the Exclusion Zone welcomes thousands of visitors every year,
especially since the premiere of the HBO series Chernobyl. The aim of this report is to
find out about the motivations that lead people to travel to a place as dangerous as

available information, it is concluded that motivations depend on several factors. While
the youngest travelers want to live new experiences and get to know the scenes of the
most popular series or the scariest video games, the oldest ones want to pay tribute to
the victims of the tragedy. On the other hand, there are tourists who are curious and seek
to educate themselves about the accident while more extreme ones aspire to feel the
danger of radiation directly.
