[eng] The playground is the space where students spend much of their time socializing, playing and
discussing dynamics, as well as spending a lot of time there. However, this work seeks to
show that the playground is an educational tool that is forgotten in teaching.
We see how in recent years in the field of education new teaching-learning methodologies are
introduced and how the view is changing towards an inclusive education but the physical
space where the teaching task takes place does not change and continues, in many cases, with
central football fields.
This assignment tries to analyze this reality approaching the break time concept and how it
can be a key factor in the development of children. Once the state of art is defined it’s
observed directly the place of the brake time, the work focuses on how the schoolyard is
regulated by law and on the bibliographic review to treat the subject of the playground as a
possible perpetuator of normative gender roles or as an agent that promotes co-education.
Finally, a collection of internships carried out by organizations and associations that are
committed to focusing on the playground and its importance.
