[spa] Las montañas submarinas son formaciones topográficas del lecho marino que no llegan a aflorar a
superficie. Por sus características geomorfológicas constituyen ambientes muy heterogéneos y son
consideradas como puntos calientes de biodiversidad. Uno de los grupos de organismos bentónicos más
diversos y abundantes en los fondos oceánicos son los anélidos o gusanos marinos (Annelida), pero
están poco estudiados en estas formaciones geomorfológicas. El objetivo de este trabajo es identificar
las muestras de anélidos recogidas durante la campaña A22B_0720 del proyecto INTEMARES en las
montañas submarinas del Mar Balear Emile Baudot, Ausiàs March y Ses Olives para determinar su
riqueza y composición específica. La identificación se llevó a cabo a partir del estudio de la morfología
externa y siguiendo claves dicotómicas y descripciones de especies. Se identificaron 19 especies, entre
ellos 4 nuevas citas para el Mar Balear, lo que pone en manifiesto la diversidad y desconocimiento de
estos ambientes marinos.

estudiats en aquestes formacions geomorfològiques. L'objectiu d'aquest treball és identificar les mostres
d'anèl·lids recollides durant la campanya A22B_0720 del projecte INTEMARES a les muntanyes
submarines del Mar Balear Emile Baudot, Ausiàs March i Ses Olives per determinar-ne la riquesa i la
composició específica. La identificació es va fer a partir de l'estudi de la morfologia externa i seguint
claus dicotòmiques i descripcions d'espècies. Es van identificar 19 espècies, entre elles 4 noves cites per
al Mar Balear, fet que posa en manifest la diversitat i el desconeixement d'aquests ambients marins.
[eng] Seamounts are topographical formations on the seabed that do not reach the surface. Due to their
geomorphological characteristics, they constitute very heterogeneous environments and are considered
biodiversity hotspots. One of the most diverse and abundant groups of benthic organisms on the ocean
floor are the annelids or marine worms (Annelida), but they are little studied in these geomorphological
formations. The objective of this work is to identify the samples of annelids collected during the
A22B_0720 campaign of the INTEMARES project in the underwater mountains of the Balearic Sea
Emile Baudot, Ausiàs March and Ses Olives to determine their richness and specific composition. The
identification was carried out from the study of the external morphology and following dichotomous
keys and species descriptions. 19 species were identified, including 4 new records for the Balearic Sea,
which highlights the diversity and lack of knowledge of these marine environments.
