[eng] This article reveals the accessibility analysis of 55 web portals of universities and polytechnic schools in Ecuador. The Web is an increasingly important resource in many aspects of life: education, employment, government, commerce, health, recreation, and more. Despite the importance of web accessibility, compliance in university web portals is limited in Ecuador. The purpose of this research is to evaluate the accessibility of the web portals of the universities of Ecuador with the NTE INEN-ISO/IEC 40500:2012 standard, a level of AA conformity and to analyze its normative fulfillment. The analysis was performed with the online tools Examinator, AccessMonitor, TAW, and TENON. Of the 220 web pages analyzed, none comply with NTE INEN-ISO/IEC 40500:2012. Universities must undertake web accessibility projects for regulatory compliance.
