[eng] With children becoming the most vulnerable sector of modern societies, social and governmental commitment is crucial to eradicating this reality. Children worldwide experience daily neglect and abuse. In African countries, children’s rights are even more in danger than in other regions. Unique characteristics from the continent difficult the correct implementation of children’s rights. Old-fashion societies challenge children to live freely and joyfully. International normative is not enough if national regulation does not contemplate international standards. Children’s vulnerability in Africa needs the commitment of all societal stakeholders and ambitious regulations.
