This research was carried out to analyse the predictive capacity of key factors in the development of family competences: parent-children relationship, family involvement, family resilience and positive parenting. This research also aims to establish which are the most discriminating factors between the groups with more and less prosocial behaviours. Method. Sample: it includes data from 181 families, with an evaluated child per family, participants in the longitudinal study on the effect of the Family Competence Program in different cities in Spain; 155 families participate in the experimental groups and 26 in the control groups. The minors, of both sexes, are aged from 8 to 14 years. Instruments: validated instruments for the Spanish population, Karol Kumpfer's questionnaires on family competence and the BASC questionnaire. Results: all analysed factors, except family involvement, proved its predictive capacity for the prosocial behaviour, among which the most discriminating were: parent-children relationships, family resilience and positive parenting.
