10 mestres.
alumnes. Tot i que és necessari formar als equips directius i als mestres perquè incloguin
[eng] Childhood obesity and sedentary lifestyles are two aspects of great
repercussion and relevance nowadays, where school is considered an ideal environment
to combat them and a healthy environment for pupils. Active breaks have numerous
benefits for health, academic performance, and cognition. Therefore, the first objective
of the study is to assess the feasibility of active breaks in different grades of primary
education by teachers. And the second objective is to know the degree of satisfaction of
5
the students with the active breaks applied. The study involved 181 primary school pupils
and 10 teachers. The pupils took an active break and subsequently completed a postintervention questionnaire for both them and the teachers, from which a reflective
deductive analysis was made of the results obtained. The results obtained show that the
degree of satisfaction of the students with the active break is very high and the teachers
are receptive to the application of active breaks, although they point out a series of
barriers. Thus, the conclusion is that the implementation of active break programmes
seems to be useful in improving students' concentration, attention, and motivation.
However, it is necessary to train management teams and teachers to include this type of
physical activity programmes in the culture of the school to be able to act as efficient
facilitators in the face of possible barriers that may arise in their implementation.
