Método Montessori: el desarrollo socioemocional

Abstract

[spa] El objetivo principal del estudio y de la investigación llevada a cabo busca dar a conocer el impacto que tiene la metodología creada por María Montessori en el desarrollo social, emocional y cognitivo del alumno. Es necesario conocer quién fue la Dra. Montessori y los principios pedagógicos en los que basó su método que, hoy en día, sigue siendo una metodología que es utilizada en diversos centros tanto de España como de diferentes países por todo el mundo. También queda reflejado cómo se trabaja dentro de esta metodología y los beneficios que genera en el alumnado a la hora de desarrollar las habilidades sociales, conceptos emocionales como la autoestima y, a su vez, la autonomía e independencia que promueven los materiales sensoriales y el ambiente preparado. Para concluir el trabajo, se encuentran unos resultados obtenidos a partir de la investigación, los cuales responden a la necesidad de incorporar tanto la metodología Montessori como métodos de pedagogías alternativas y/o activas, las cuales van en auge a medida que se siguen sumando alumnos matriculados en estas.

[eng] The main objective of the study and the research conducted seeks to make known the impact that the methodology created by Maria Montessori has on the social, emotional and cognitive development of the student. It is necessary to know who Dr. Montessori was and the pedagogical principles on which she based her method which, to this day, continues to be a methodology that is used in various centers both in Spain and in different countries around the world. It also reflects how to work within this methodology and the benefits it generates in students when developing social skills, emotional concepts such as self-esteem and, in turn, the autonomy and independence that promote sensory materials and the prepared environment. To conclude the work, there are some results obtained from the research, which respond to the need to incorporate both the Montessori methodology and methods of alternative and/or active pedagogies, which are on the rise as more students are enrolled in them.
