El valor per a l'estudi del turisme a Mallorca de l'arxiu Casa Planas

[cat] L’objectiu d’aquest treball és presentar una visió a grosso modo del que suposà l’existència del fotògraf Josep Planas a Mallorca durant el segle XX per a l’estudi del turisme avui en dia. S’analitza la seva feina a partir de l’arxiu Casa Planas que s’ha creat a partir de les fotografies que ell mateix realitzà amb un conjunt de treballadors de la seva empresa abans i durant el boom turístic que experimentà l’illa. Per altra banda es destaquen dues tècniques fotogràfiques remarcables de la feina de Josep Planas que serveixen per a realitzar una radiografia de la transformació del paisatge i la societat que es trobava antany i comparar ambdós factors amb l’actualitat.

[eng] The main objective of this project is to present a wide vision of what implied the existence of the photographer Josep Planas in Mallorca during the 20th century to study the tourism in Mallorca nowadays. His work is analyzed beneath the Casa Planas archive which was created mostly from the photographs Planas took with a large staff of workers before and after the tourism boom that Mallorca experienced. On the other hand, two photographical techniques are highlighted from the work of Josep Planas that can be used to analyze the landscape and society’s transformation of the past comparing it to the present.
