on the growing popularity of esports and the consequent importance of megaevent tourism, such as the Olympics and how they affect the host regions.
Additionally, it aims to integrate the 4Es (Education, Entertainment, Escapism,
and Aesthetics) tourism motivation model with esports tourism, recognizing these
factors as critical drivers of visitor demand in this emerging market.
The study provides insights into how destinations might use esports to boost
tourism through a thorough analysis of the South Korean scenario, covering
infrastructure investments, governmental laws, and community involvement in
esports growth. These results provide a solid framework for understanding the
mutually beneficial relationship between esports and tourism, as well as important
information for future studies and tourist development plans.
