El efecto de la Primavera Árabe en el Turismo de Egipto

Abstract

[spa] Este trabajo se centra en el estudio y análisis de los efectos que tuvo la Primavera Árabe sobre el turismo de Egipto. En primer lugar, se expone la ubicación geográfica, qué países se vieron afectados por este suceso, las causas que lo propulsaron y en qué consistió. Una vez aclarados estos puntos, se relatan las consecuencias económicas, mencionando cada país y entrando en detalle en el caso de Egipto. Posteriormente, se hace hincapié en el sector turístico egipcio. Cómo se vio afectado por la Primavera Árabe y la influencia de los atentados terroristas, las reacciones por parte de los turoperadores y las medidas adoptadas. Finalmente, se relata la situación actual del destino turístico y su lenta recuperación.

[eng] This paper focuses on the study and analysis of the effects of the Arab Spring on tourism in Egypt. First of all, the geographical location, which countries were affected by this event, the causes that propelled it and what it consisted of are presented. Once these points have been clarified, the economic consequences are described, mentioning each country and going into detail in the case of Egypt. Subsequently, emphasis is placed on the Egyptian tourism sector. How it was affected by the Arab Spring and the influence of the terrorist attacks, the reactions on the part of the tour operators and the measures adopted. Finally, it describes the current situation of the tourist destination and its slow development.
