Sinhogarismo, institucionalización y housing first como alternativa

Abstract

[spa] En el presente trabajo se hace una revisión bibliográfica acerca del fenómeno del sinhogarismo, más específicamente, sobre la institucionalización y el modelo del Housing First como alternativa. En una primera instancia se realizará una revisión histórica acerca del sinhogarismo, así como las tipologías mayoritarias utilizadas para denominar a este colectivo. Para continuar, en segundo lugar, realizaremos un repaso de los modelos principales utilizados en la atención al colectivo del sinhogarismo, enfatizando los puntos fuertes, las desventajas de cada modelo y relacionando cada uno con la institucionalización y el Housing First. En tercer lugar, se abordará el modelo de la institucionalización y sus factores. Como se podrá observar más adelante, esta modelo perpetua el modelo asistencialista presente en los centros que dan respuesta al gran colectivo que sufre el sinhogarismo en la sociedad. Y para finalizar, se hará una revisión general del modelo del Housing First como respuesta al fenómeno anteriormente mencionado definiendo sus inicios y en que consiste

[eng] A literature review is made in this work about the phenomenon of homelessness, more specifically, about institutionalization and the "Housing First" model as an alternative. In the first part, a historical review of homelessness will be carried out, as well as an explanation about the main typologies used to name this group. To continue, we will review the main models used in the care of the homeless community, emphasizing the strengths and disadvantages of each model and relating each one to institutionalization and housing first. Thirdly, the institutionalization model and its factors will be addressed. As will be seen later, this model perpetuates the welfare model present in the centers that respond to the large group that suffer from homelessness in society. And finally, a general review of the "Housing First" model will be made as a response to the aforementioned phenomenon, defining its beginnings and what it consists of
