[eng] This paper aims to analyse documentation in Latin from early mediaeval Catalonia, with a view to uncovering the existence of festive events and any information about them. To do this, we perform an analysis of lexical elements linked to two fundamental features of events : the gathering of large groups of people and banquets. Thus, an initial exploration is undertaken into the use of terms associated with attendees, such as caterua , coetus , concursus , conglobatio , congregatio or multi-tudo . This is then followed by ananalysis of meal terms associated with celebrations, including reficio , refectio , conuiuium , caritas , cena and prandium .
