Complementariedad entre agricultura y turismo como herramienta de desarrollo en regiones rurales

Abstract

[spa] Este estudio pretende enfocar la situación actual y evolución en los últimos años del turismo rural en las Islas Baleares, mediante un análisis de qué se entiende por turismo rural en general y qué características propias destacan en esta tipología turística relativamente “nueva” en el mercado turístico. Se analizarán los diferentes tipos de ayudas y subvenciones europeas pertenecientes al Programa de Desarrollo Rural (PDR) que establecen objetivos mediante prácticas rurales innovadoras sostenibles con el medio ambiente, en zonas calificadas como “zonas rurales desfavorecidas”, y que incentivan el correcto funcionamiento de actividades relacionadas directa e indirectamente con el emergente turismo de interior, el cual actúa como herramienta para la diversificación de rentas y apoyo al desarrollo local para estas regiones de interior, y ha supuesto mejoras tanto a nivel de ingresos, como de mayor tasa de empleo, formación y refuerzo a la cultura regional.

[eng] This study pretends to focus the actual situation and evolution during the last years of the rural tourism in the Balearic Islands, by an approach of what people understands about rural tourism generally and what featured this touristic typology relatively “new” in the tourism market. There will be an analysis of the different kinds of helps and European subventions coming from the Rural Development Program (PDR), which selects the objectives throughout rural innovative sustainable practices with the environment, in qualified zones as “rural disadvantaged zones”, and incentives the right operation of the activities directly or indirectly related with the emerging interior’s tourism, which actuates as a tool for the diversification of income and support to the local development for that regions, and it has supposed improvements at the income and employment level, and training and reinforcement of a region’s culture.
