[eng] The objective of the present paper is to revise the literature related to neuropsychological rehabilitation applied to the treatment of patients with acquired brain injury . At first, the available theory concerning this phenomenon will be exposed, as well as the consequences that these may cause. After that, we will discuss the different aspects to take into account to plan the treatment that will be conducted in each case. Once this information will be exposed, we will p roceed to describe the different technics and procedures that, until today, have proven themselves effective, and which use is the most extended among others in this field; besides, we will make a brief description of the emergent technologies applied to n europsychological rehabilitation. After this introduction on neuropsychological treatment applied to acquired brain injuries, we will go deeper into how it is applied according to the deficiencies that commonly present this kind of patients. Thus, we prete nd to define the different technics t hat until today have shown themselves effective towards the damages of a given patient. This objective is due to the actual necessity of this field of providing guidance for the clinical approach. Being neuropsychologic al rehabilitation such a young discipline, we must try building a coherent and unified methodology that permits analyzing which treatments would be suitable for a patient with given characteristics. The final aim would be to provide , basing ourselves in ef fectiveness evidences, the best treatment among many other s available for each individual. We must try to take the best possible advantage of the potential of neuropsychological rehabilitation

[spa] El presente trabajo tiene como objetivo realizar una revisión de la literatura acerca de la rehabilitación neuropsicológica aplicada al tratamiento de pacientes con daños cerebrales adquiridos . En un primer momento se expondrá la teoría disponible acerca de este fenómeno, y las consecuencias que éstos pueden conllevar. Seguido de esto, se discutirán los aspectos a tener en cuenta para planificar el tratamiento que se llevará a cabo en cada caso. Una vez expuesta dicha información, se procederá a describir las diferentes técnicas y procedimientos que, a día de hoy, han demostrado mayor eficacia, y cuyo uso es el más extendido en este campo; a parte se realizará una breve descripción sobre la s emergentes tecnologías aplicadas a la rehabilitación neuropsicológica. Tras esta introducción sobre el tratamiento neuropsicológico aplicado a los daños cerebrales adquiridos, se profundizará en el cómo aplicarlo en función de los déficits que suelen presentar los pacientes de esta índole. Se pretende, por tanto, definir las diferentes técnicas que a día de hoy han demostrado ser eficaces de acuerdo a los daños que presente un paciente dado. Tal objetivo se debe a la necesidad presente en este campo de definir unas guías específicas para el abordaje clínico. Y es que se trata de una disciplina tan joven, que debemos intentar construir una metodología coherente y unificada que permita analizar qué tratamientos son los más deseables en función de las características de un paciente en concreto. El fin último sería poder brindar, basándonos en evidencias de eficacia, el mejor tratamiento de entre muchos disponibles para cada individuo. Debemos sacar el mayor provecho posible del potencial que tiene la rehabilitación neuropsicológica.
