La turistització residencial de la regió litoral d’Artà

Abstract

[cat] El present treball té com a objecte analitzar la regió litoral d’Artà per veure com el comportament de la població, juntament amb l’evolució urbana, han anat definit la seva funció residencial. Així mateix, l’estudi del conjunt del producte turístic, el qual ve definit pels recursos turístics, les infraestructures i l’oferta complementària, mostra com la regió es converteix en reclam turístic a partir del desenvolupament del turisme residencial. Partim de la hipòtesi que la turistització residencial pot generar un procés de transformació social i espacial sobre qualsevol regió. A partir d’aquest plantejament es dur a terme la caracterització de les infraestructures turístiques i els establiments comercials dels nuclis del litoral d’Artà per valorar l’impacte que causa el turisme sobre la regió. Per estudiar l’evolució del turisme i les zones residencials de M allorca s’ha atès a diferents autors com Onofre Rullan, Jaume Binimelis i Pere Antoni Salvà. Els seus conceptes i coneixements han estat la base de l’enfocament teòric del present estudi i han permès el desenvolupament d’aquest. Del conjunt de l’anàlisi s’extreu que la proliferació dels habitatges turístics de vacances i la seva falta de regulació accelera la transformació de les zones residencials a ús turístic. La pressió que genera el turisme sobre aquestes zones ens permet definir- lo com un element gentrificador. Ens trobem així davant d’un nou model de turistització residencial que no deixa d’alimentar el tercer boom turístic.

[eng] The objective of this Project is to analyse the coastal region of Arta to see how its population together with the urban development have defined its residential function. The study of the touristic product defined by the touristic resources, the infrastructure projects and the supplementary offer, shows how the region becomes a touristic attraction because of the development of residential tourism. Firstly, we assume that the residential tourism can generate a process of social and spatial transformation on any region. Starting from this initial approach, we proceed with the characterization of the touristic infrastructures and the commercial establishments of the coastal region of Arta to evaluate the impact of tourism on the region. To study the evolution of tourism and the residential areas of Mallorca we have focused our investigation on the work of Onofre Rullan, Jaume Binimelis I Antoni Salvà. Their concepts and general knowledge have been the base of this project. We can guess that the proliferation of the touristic holiday homes and its lack of regulation spread up the transformation of residential zones in touristic zones. For that reason, this kind of residential tourism causes the third touristic boom.
