dc.description	[cat] L’objectiu d’aquesta tesi és doble. Per una banda, hem perseguit obtenir una visió panoràmica directa de les manifestacions dramàtiques que van tenir lloc a la major part d’Europa occidental a partir de la baixa edat mitjana i fins al segle XVI, per la qual cosa hem examinat els principals textos conservats de drama litúrgic, un nombre significatiu de peces castellanes, occitanes, franceses, italianes i angleses publicades, i també la totalitat de les obres catalanes editades de l’època esmentada. A més, a fi d’aportar una aproximació teòrica als estudis sobre la història del teatre europeu medieval i del primer teatre català hem revisat la bibliografia més rellevant que ha suscitat el tema i hem observat alguns dels problemes amb què s'enfronten les investigacions actuals. Per altra banda, ens hem proposat estudiar el teatre català antic des d’una perspectiva pràctica molt delimitada. Així, doncs, ens hem concentrat en l’estudi i l'edició de cinc peces del ms. 1139 de la Biblioteca de Catalunya, conegut també com a Manuscrit Llabrés. Les cinc mostres, que conformen el cicle de la vida pública de Jesucrist, són les següents: Consueta de la temtació feta en l'any 1597 (consueta núm. 9); Consueta de la representació de la tantació que fonch feta a Nostre Senyor Jesucrist, ara novament feta per lo reverend pera fra Cardils, mestre en theologia (consueta núm. 10); Consueta de la samaritana (consueta núm. 15); Consueta de Làtzer (consueta núm. 17) i Consueta de Làtzer (consueta núm. 18). En aquest sentit, la finalitat cerca analitzar en un context ampli —que tingui en compte, si més no a grans trets, llurs paral•lels occità, francès, castellà, portuguès, italià o anglès— la temàtica de la temptació de Jesucrist, la de la samaritana i la de la resurrecció de Llàtzer, i també algunes de les línies de recerca que generen. A més, s'estudien amb detall les cinc obres (l’autoria, la data de composició, l’anàlisi literària i musical, i la representació) i se’n fixa el text, que és acompanyat de notes que n’aclareixen els fragments de lectura difícil i les fonts. Finalment, s’inclouen les conclusions a què hem arribat, les quals posen de manifest que cal valorar la tradició dramàtica europea tardomedieval com una sola comunitat teatral, en la qual el teatre català de Mallorca s’insereix plenament.
dc.description	[eng] This thesis has a double objective. On the one hand, I have attempted to obtain a direct overall view of the dramatic manifestations that took place in the greater part of Western Europe from the later Middle Ages until the XVI century. In doing so, I have examined the most important extant texts of liturgical drama, a considerable number of Castilian, Provençal, French, Italian and English published texts and also all available medieval and sixteenth-century Catalan plays. Furthermore, I have reviewed the most significant bibliography on the subject and I have noted some of the difficulties which current issues pose for researchers, in order to achieve a theoretical approach to the studies of the history of medieval European drama. On the other hand, Old Catalan theatre is studied from a very defined practical perspective. Therefore I have concentrated on the study and publication of five plays of the Manuscript 1139 or Manuscrit Llabrés of the Biblioteca de Catalunya. The five texts of the public life of Jesus Christ are: Consueta de la temtació feta en l’any 1597 (number 9); Consueta de la representació de la tantació que fonch feta a Nostre Senyor Jesucrist, ara novament feta per lo reverend pera fra Cardils, mestre en theologia (number 10); Consueta de la samaritana (number 15); Consueta de Làtzer (number 17) and Consueta de Làtzer (number 18). In this way, the intention is to analyze in a wide context –which takes into consideration, at least in summary, their Provençal, French, Castilian, Portuguese, Italian, or English parallels– the theme of the temptation of Jesus Christ, the Samaritan, the resurrection of Lazarus and also some of the lines of research which are generated. Furthermore, the five plays are studied in detail, while their texts are established and accompanied by notes that clarify their sources and the fragments which are difficult to read. The conclusions reached state that it is necessary to value the late medieval European dramatic tradition as a sole theatre community in which Majorcan Catalan theatre is fully integrated.
