[spa] Introducción: La cafeína es una de las drogas más consumidas en el deporte hoy en día, la causa principal es que ésta se encuentra en las bebidas energéticas, las cuales su consumo está yendo en aumento por su fácil accesibilidad y su bajo coste. A causa de esto se consume tanto por deportistas de élite como deportistas amateurs.
Objetivo: El objetivo de este trabajo es conocer cómo afectan las bebidas energéticas al rendimiento deportivo y si la ingesta de estas bebidas energéticas supone efectos positivos y/o negativos. Además se establecerá una relación y explicación de los ingredientes que componen estas bebidas y sus posibles efectos.
Resultado: Se han seleccionado 12 estudios y artículos de la base de datos de PubMed (Mesh Database), de los cuales todos nos hablan de bebidas energéticas que contienen cafeína y azúcares y también de sus efectos positivos y negativos y/o de su efecto ergogénico, además de otros detalles y explicaciones.
Conclusión: La cafeína, incluso en pequeñas dosis, aporta beneficios en el rendimiento de actividades deportivas, como resistencia, fuerza… Sin embargo, la ingesta excesiva o prolongada de cafeína nos puede llegar a causar, a largo plazo, una serie de consecuencias adversas. De igual manera, se debe tener en cuenta la cantidad de azúcar que contienen estas bebidas, ya que también puede provocar ciertos efectos negativos. |
