[eng] Investigation Question: What determines that a trail runner is an increasing
risk of injury? Purpose is to identify the prevalence of running-related
injuries during training and the different distances in trail running from the
Transvulcania. Justification: The popularity of running is growing in our
society in an obvious way, at the same time does trail running, of which there
is much less evidence. There are only a few studies that relate injuries
occurred to trail runners with their sociocultural characteristics, training or
experience as a runner, especially in races of less than 75 km. Methodology:
a retrospective, transversal and observational, population-based study will be
conducted through an online questionnaire. It is estimated that 333 athletes (n
= 333) should complete the questionnaire randomly in order to be able to
estimate with a 95% confidence and an accuracy of +/- 5%. The data analysis
will be calculated means, standard deviations and maximum and minimum
values for all measurements. Also, Pearson correlation analyses will be used
to examine the associations, non-causal associations, of the linear variables
indicated in the hypotheses. Final considerations: ethical and data protection
aspects will be taken into account at all times. Practical applications of this
project may be important to all professionals involved in Trail Running |
