La pràctica escolar dels mestres a través de la premsa professional. El cas de la revista El Magisterio Balear (1916)

Abstract

[cat] La premsa pedagògica és un instrument molt valuós per estudiar la història de l'educació. En aquest treball d'investigació seguint el mètode històrico-educatiu, es fa un buidatge d'articles de la premsa pedagògica del moment. Aquest buidatge es realitza a partir de la revista El Magisterio Balear, principal òrgan de difusió d'algunes de les realitzacions pedagògiques més novedoses que aplicaren els mestres de Balears entre 1873 i 1936. La investigació, es centra en tots els articles publicats l'any 1916 amb l'objectiu d'aconseguir indagar quines eren les experiències i pràctiques escolars que es publicitaven en aquell moment. Els docents aprofitaren la regularitat de la revista per reivindicar la seva professió i per publicitar algunes de les experiències més novedoses que aplicaven dins les aules. Analitzant els articles veiem algunes de les dificultats amb les que es trobaven, les quals feien referència, en ocasions, a la manca de material que hi havia a les seves aules o a algunes de les normatives que aprovà l'Estat en matèria de política educativa. Per altre banda, es mostra com els mestres tenen il· lusió i ganes de renovar l'educació en base a algunes de les propostes pedagògiques més novedoses del moment. A través de les quals anaren conforman el que alguns estudiosos han denominat com la cultura pràctica de l'escola.

[eng] For the education history, the pedagogical press is a very valuable tool. In this research project, following the historical-educational method, is has done a research of articles from the pedagogical press of that moment. This research is made from analizing the magazine “El Magisterio Balear”, main organ of dissemination of some pedagogical accomplishments more new that applied by teachers in Balearic Islands in between 1873 and 1936. The research is focused in all the articles published in 1916 in order to know about the school experiences and methods where used and promoted at that time. Teachers took the advantage to show to the world their new experiences inside the classrooms. We see some of the difficulties that were found, they referred to the lack of material in their classrooms or to some of the regulations approved by the educational policy state. On the other hand, and in a positive way, we can see the enthusiasm the teachers had to renew the education System with new based on some of the most innovative pedagogical proposals of the moment. Through which they go they conform what some students have called the practical culture of the school
