Potencialidades y amenazas del turismo de cruceros en las Islas Baleares

Abstract

[spa] El presente trabajo recoge el análisis de los diferentes impactos que tiene el turismo de los cruceros en las Islas Balares. Se divide en tres partes: el impacto económico, donde se estudia la evolución de la demanda y de la oferta de cruceros durante los últimos años. El impacto ambiental, que describe los principales problemas medioambientales que generan los buques de crucero. Y el impacto social, que trata sobre el empleo generado por este tipo de turismo y el rechazo que ha creado en algunos sectores de la población. Por último se informa sobre las previsiones existentes para los próximos años.

[eng] The present research gathers the analysis of the different impacts of cruise tourism in the Balaric Islands. It is divided into three parts: the economic impact studies the evolution of the demand and the offer of cruise ships during the past years. The environmental impact describes the main environmental problems generated by cruise ships. And the social impact analyzes the employment generated by this type of tourism and the rejection it has created in some sectors of the population. Finally, we report on the forecasts for the coming years.
