Impactes del canvi climàtic a les regions turístiques

Abstract

[cat] Partint de l’acceptació pràcticament generalitzada de la interrelació entre canvi climàtic i turisme i atesa la importància del sector per a l’economia balear, es presenta una prospecció sobre l’estat d’opinió d’alguns dels principals agents econòmics i socials envers aquesta problemàtica. Amb aquest objectiu s’ha dissenyat una enquesta subdividida en cinc seccions que tracten sobre els punts següents: grau de coneixement sobre el canvi climàtic, possibles efectes sobre el turisme en general i el model turístic balear en particular, responsabilitat sobre la matèria i principals actors implicats en la lluita contra el canvi climàtic. L’enquesta s’ha passat a una mostra de representants de distints àmbits especialment involucrats amb el sector (alts tècnics de designació política, representants de les distintes administracions del Govern Balear amb competències sobre el tema, sindicats i empresaris del sector turístic) i a persones (àrea addicional) sense interessos concrets amb el turisme. La finalitat última és conèixer l’estat d’opinió general sobre els temes prèviament definits, valorar si en la tipologia de les respostes es poden detectar diferències en funció de l’àrea de procedència i conèixer la predisposició dels distints representants a acceptar un nou marc legal i a actuar de forma coordinada per a mitigar les repercussions del canvi climàtic.

[eng] Based on the practically generalised acceptance of the interrelation of climate change and tourism, and in view of the importance of the sector for the Balearic economy, this paper presents a prospection of the state of the opinion of some of the main economic and social agents towards this problem. With this aim, a survey was designed, subdivided into five sections dealing with the following points: level of knowledge of climate change, possible effects on tourism in general and the Balearic model of tourism in particular, responsibility regarding the subject and main actors involved in the struggle against climate change. The survey was given to a sample of representatives from different fields who are particularly involved with the sector (high-level politically-appointed technicians, representatives of the different departments of the Balearic Government with powers in the area, unions and entrepreneurs from the tourism sector) and a series of people (additional area) without specific interests in tourism. The ultimate goal is to determine the general opinion on the issues defined above, assess whether differences can be detected in the type of answers depending on the area they originate from, and to ascertain how predisposed the different representatives are towards accepting a new legal framework and acting in a coordinated fashion in order to mitigate the repercussions of climate change.
