El monólogo interior (Stream of consciousness) en la poesía de la experiencia de Luis García Montero: Habitaciones separadas (1994)

Abstract

[spa] El trabajo sintetiza las investigaciones acerca de la técnica y estética stream of consciousness y monólogo interior, así como su influencia en la poesía de la experiencia en Habitaciones separadas (1994) de Luis García Montero. En él se analiza primero, la teoría filosófica-psicológica del stream of consciousness y monólogo interior, su conceptualización (Bowling, 1950), naturaleza, historia y aparición en la literatura mundial. De igual modo, se estudia el monólogo interior como forma narrativa en España partiendo de la novela y subrayando las diferencias de ésta con el lenguaje poético. La segunda parte del trabajo contextualiza e investiga la poesía de García Montero desde sus inicios con «La otra sentimentalidad» hasta su derivación en la poesía de la experiencia y el influjo del stream of consciousness y monólogo interior. Este marco teórico concluye en la tercera parte del trabajo en un marco metodológico donde se examina la relación de García Montero con su obra Habitaciones separadas, su concepción del mundo y la finalidad de su poesía. Todo ello fundamentado en tres poemas que pertenecen a la sección «en otro amor»: "Life vest under your seat", "Aunque tú no lo sepas" y "Mujeres" al efecto de señalar la preponderancia de estas corrientes literarias en el poemario cumbre de García Montero que le proporcionó el prestigioso Premio Loewe y el Premio Nacional de Literatura y le consagró como la voz poética generacional contemporánea.

[eng] The work synthesizes the investigations about the technical and aesthetical stream of consciousness and interior monologue, as well as its influence on the poetry of experience in Habitaciones separadas (1994) by Luis García Montero The first part of the work analyzes the philosophical-psychological theory of the stream of consciousness and interior monologue, its conceptualization (Bowling, 1950), nature, history and appearance in world literature. In the same way, the interior monologue is also studied as a narrative form in Spain starting from the novel and emphasizing the differences with the poetic language. The second part of the work contextualizes and investigates the poetry of García Montero with the beginning of «The new sentimentality» wave, until its derivation in the poetry of experience and the influence of the stream of consciousness and interior monologue. This theoretical framework concludes in the third part of the work through a methodological framework which examines García Montero's relationship with his work Habitaciones separadas, his conception of the world and the purpose of his poetry. All of these are based on the three poems that belong to the section «en otro amor». They are "Life vest under your Seat", "Aunque tú no lo sepas" and "Mujeres" in order to point out the preponderance of these literary trends in the poetry summit of García Montero, who gave him the prestigious Loewe Prize and the National Literature Prize and consecrated him as the contemporary generation’s poetic voice.
