Influencia del Reguetón en la violencia de género en los jóvenes

Abstract

[spa] El objetivo principal de este trabajo es analizar si existe influencia entre el género musical Reguetón y la violencia de género, en concreto en los jóvenes. Para ello, se ha utilizado una metodología cuantitativa mediante la creación de una encuesta. El estudio descriptivo se ha realizado en un Instituto del Norte de La Isla de Mallorca. La muestra está formada por 116 alumnos, divididos entre 3º ESO y 4º ESO. Se solicita autorización al equipo directivo del centro. Se ha aplicado a cursos de secundaria, para determinar la necesidad de implantar un programa de concienciación como medida preventiva. La encuesta es una combinación de encuestas ya existentes, teniendo en cuenta la edad de los alumnos y resaltando , sobre todo, los estereotipos mencionados en las letras de este estilo musical .En ellas podemos encontrar las visiones de sexismo ambivalente de la teoría de Glick y Fiske (Glick y Fiske, 1996, 1997, 2001).Se puede identificar el Sexismo Hostil que comparte con el sexismo más tradicional, su carga afectiva negativa y supone asumir una visión estereotipada y negativa de la mujer como ser inferior. Junto al Hostil convive el Sexismo Benevolente, de tono afectivo positivo, basado en una ideología tradicional, que idealiza a las mujeres como esposas, madres y objetos románticos, pero sigue siendo sexista ya que las relega a estos roles, considerando a la mujer como una persona débil a la que los hombres deben proteger. La adolescencia es una etapa crucial para educar en valores de igualdad entre mujeres y hombres debido a que es la etapa del despertar de las relaciones afectivas. Como afirma Ianire Estébanez en sus artículos (2010,2012), el amor ha llevado a muchos y muchas jóvenes a aceptar situaciones “porque está enamorado/a” que no hubiesen admitido en otros casos. Es decir, el hecho de considerar que “el amor ciega” y que “no puedes decidir de quién te enamoras” las lleva a no poder actuar con completa coherencia y dificulta la detección de situaciones de violencia psicológica. Actualmente este tipo de roles nos han llevado a una sociedad en la cual se distinguen dos géneros (hombre y mujer), con una serie de etiquetas y roles adquiridos. Estos roles se ven reforzados ,a través de los medios audiovisuales, en las generaciones jóvenes: series de televisión, películas o personajes que llevan adscritos su rol asociado al amor que “sufren”: posesividad asociado a la pasión, el hombre rebelde y atractivo que cambia al tener pareja, relaciones tóxicas que cambian con la convivencia… en definitiva: “la magia del amor”. (Estébanez, 2010) De esta manera, los jóvenes reciben un tipo de influencias culturales que en ningún caso se ciñen a la igualdad y a criterios y valores educativos sino que refuerzan estereotipos de género tradicionales y sexistas que mantienen la subordinación de la mujer y las relaciones de violencia dentro de la pareja. Es imprescindible educar para modificar esta errónea concepción del amor. Después de la realización de la encuesta y el análisis de los resultados, se demuestra que la diferencia no es significativa en todas las preguntas, aunque sí hay algunas diferencias que se resaltan en el análisis de los resultados.

[eng] The main objective of this work is to analyze is an influence between the musical genre Reggaeton and gender violence, specifically in young people.To do this, a quantitative methodology has been used through the creation of a survey. The study was carried out at the North Institute of the Island of Mallorca. The sample consists of 116 students, divided between 3rd and 4th ESO. For this, authorization is requested from the center’s management team. It has been applied to secondary courses to determine the need to implement an awareness program as a preventive measure. The survey used is a combination of existing surveys, taking into account the age of the students and highlighting, above all, the aspects mentioned in the lyrics of this musical style. In them we can find the visions of ambivalent sexism of the theory of Glick and Fiske (Glick and Fiske, 1996, 1997, 2001).You can identify the Hostile Sexism that shares with the more traditional sexism, its negative affective load and supposes to assume a stereotyped and negative view of women as inferior. Beside Hostile Benevolent Sexism coexists, positive affective tone, based on traditional ideology, which idealizes women as wives, mothers and romantic objects, but remains sexist as it relegates them to these roles, considering women as a weak personal to whom men must protect. Adolescence is a crucial stage to educate in values of equality between women and men because it is the stage of the awakening of affective relationships. As Ianire Estébanez states in her articles (2010, 2012), love has led many young people to accept situations “because he is in love” that they would not have admitted in other cases. That is to say, the fact “blind love” and that “you cannot decide who you fall in love whit” leads to not being able to act with complete coherence and makes it difficult to detect situations of psychological violence. Currently, these types of roles have led us to a society, in which two genres /men and women) are distinguished, with a series of labels and roles acquired. These roles are reinforced through the audiovisual media of the younger generations: Television series, films or characters that have their role associated with the love they “suffer” : possessiveness associated with passion, rebellious and attractive man that changes the have a partner, toxic relationships that change with coexistence… in short “The magic lf love” (Estébanez, 2010) . In this way, young people receive a type of cultural influences that in no case are limited to equality and educational criteria and values, but reinforce traditional and sexist gender stereotypes that maintain the subordination of women and the relationships of violence within partner. It is essential to educate to modify this erroneous conception of love. After the completion the survey and the analysis of the results, the difference is not significant in all the questions, although there are some difference that are highlighted in the analysis of the results.
