Dendritic spine segmentation using a convolutional neural network

Abstract

[eng] We design and train a convolutional neural network with the task of segmenting dendritic spines from grayscale 3D images. The prediction of this neural network is compared against another neural network. Using both neural networks in combination yields a better prediction.
