[eng] The need for family involvement in the education of children is an
indisputable fact today. Therefore, the literature on family-school relationship is
quite abundant. However, most works on this topic have a descriptive
perspective without detailed proposals for activities in specific subjects. The aim
of the present research project is to give a proposal of activities that encourage
family participation for the classes of English as the first foreign language for
one school year. These activities for the English classes in combination with
parent involvement activities on the school level will help to develop positive
attitudes, and a tight bond with family will be created in the students´ perception
of school, which will lead to better academic performance, better behaviour in
the classroom and overall satisfaction with the educational process.
