L'abandonament escolar prematur a Espanya

Abstract

[cat] L'abandonament escolar prematur és un dels indicadors clau de l'educació a Europa. Aquest fenomen produeix, entre altres coses, problemes laborals, econòmics i socials. El present document tracta d'investigar sobre les causes i/o factors més determinants de l'abandonament escolar i els programes més eficaços per lluitar contra aquest fenomen perjudicial per al futur de la nostra societat. Històricament, les polítiques que s'han anat desenvolupant en el nostre país no han donat els resultats esperats, però, en l'actualitat, s'estan posant en marxa una sèrie de plans i programes que poden ajudar a reduir aquests índexs tan elevats que tenen la gran majoria de comunitats autònomes del territori espanyol. La present investigació mostra, també, l'evolució al llarg dels darrers anys de l'abandonament escolar en tots els països membres de la Unió Europea, fent especial incidència en el cas espanyol, tot analitzant també les diferents particularitats de les comunitats autònomes que el formen. Per tant, l'abandonament escolar prematur és considerat actualment un problema de primer ordre, molt especialment a Espanya, on les taxes se situen per damunt de la mitjana europea.

[eng] Early school leaving is one of the key indicators of education in Europe. This phenomenon produces, among others, labour, economic and social problems. This document intends to investigate the most determinant causes and factors of early school leaving and the most effective programmes to fight against this phenomenon that is harmful for the future of our society. Historically, the policies that have been developed in our country have not yielded the expected results but nowadays some plans and programmes that are being implemented can help to reduce these high rates that the vast majority of autonomous communities of Spain have. This research also shows the evolution of early school leaving in all the countries of the European Union over the last years, highlighting the Spanish case. It also analyses the different particularities of the autonomous communities that form it. Therefore, early school leaving is currently considered a leading problem, especially in Spain, where rates are above the European average.
