[eng] The generation of digital natives has a close relationship to all kinds of
devices, and the internet is their main source of information.
This master's thesis is based on the determination of a double need: to
integrate Information and communications Technology (ICT) effectively and
efficiently in the studying of subjects that are not directly related to it, and to
educate students in the responsible use of it.
For this dual purpose, we present a didactic proposal whose main
objective is the studying of specific curricular contents in the area of Social
Sciences (World War II) based on the application of digital and networked
audiovisual tools, in which students assimilate the contents through research
that culminates in the creation of audiovisual didactic content and its public
presentation, accompanied by an oral presentation.
Interdisciplinary in nature, not only will students acquire digital skills but
they will also learn best practices in ICT in learning, basic aspects of legislation,
ethics and respect for copyright and intellectual property, how to critically
assess sources of information, and the search for the utmost rigor in the
transmission of information and the dissemination of knowledge. Students will
also gain the fundamental skills in terms of expression and communication in an
academic setting.
In conclusion, it helps to give students, at the same time as acquiring
knowledge of history, a set of tools and values to successfully face their
academic and personal future in the new information society.
