artística, gastronòmica, i docent.
[eng] This Master’s Thesis is the result of the integration of the different contents and
skills acquired in the Máster Universitari en Formació del Professorat, both from
the perspectives of theory and practice. This work is motivated by the artist Alicia
Rios’ works (Ali & Cia) and the idea of edible art that is conceived, in my teaching,
as an inexhaustible generator of diverse learning. The work emerges as well from
the willingness to make this artistic idea available to everyone.
This work focuses on two main intertwined topics: art and food. In other words,
art as an instrument for the outreach of healthy habits and the recovery of the
Mediterranean diet targeting young students, in my case, from the IES Biel Martí
(Ferreries). Drawing upon this theoretical and artistic idea and taking into
consideration this student population, I propose an Arts-Infused Project-Based
Learning (ABPA, in its Catalan initials), and a methodology taken from
contemporary art known as Eat Art.
This work, targets students of 3rd grade of ESO and it spans throughout different
courses: Biology, Classical Culture, Music, and Plastic, Visual and Audiovisual
Education, under the title “Devorem el nostre poble” (Let’s eat up our village).
Therefore, in order to execute this multidisciplinary project, students must
conduct research and study the processes from the above-mentioned areas.
This proposal is also a part of the cultural festival "Accionem Ferreries", an event
that will be held on April 7th and which is part of the "World Health Day" to
commemorate the anniversary of World Health Organization (WHO). In this
Master’s Thesis, I develop one of the proposals prepared for the festival to be
held at the IES Biel Martí.
"Devorem el nostre poble", in short, amalgamates my different interests that
come from my artistic, gastronomic and teaching background and training.
