[eng] Project-based learning is an active methodology that allows students to
acquire skills & key knowledge of the 21st Century, by creating and developing
real projects.
The target of this methodology is to increase motivation and learning
process for students, by giving them an active leading role during the
process. In this process teachers will act not only as a guide, but also as a
motivator.
Like society, today’s students have also evolved, so that they don’t need
an excess of information in their memory. A competitive and resolutive student
will be the one that has the ability to resolve problems, develop projects, be
creative, innovate and to be able to make decisions and to work as a team.
This role defines the methodology of project-based learning, its origin, its
maximum exponents are and how these are used. It also represents a
qualitative study on the theorical framework of the methodology, based on
bibliographic evidence, as well as a practical application with the final goal of
being able to make a transfer in real life, specifically in the world of marketing.
As for the didactic proposal, we want to apply this active methodology and
break with the traditional working methodology. We believe that vocational
training is the most appropriate channel to be able to implement this
methodology, since these are technical and oriented studies in the professional
life and our goal is to be able to offer the opportunity to apply and transfer of the
projects into the real life.
In order to develop the entire educational proposal, we have divided it into five
phases and these at the same time in different missions designed with the
intention of developing concrete targets to access the next levels of teachinglearning.
In recent years, more and more schools are applying this methodology, giving
more opportunities to students. We want to use this proposal to give more
visibility to the methodology within Vocational Training.
