[eng] The study presented here focuses on community socio-educational resilience,
analysing the involvement of different social and educational agents in the
design and implementation of social and educational proposals to deal with
situations of adversity, in this case, caused by Covid-19. The objectives of the
study were to identify resilient practices related to children and young people
in 5 territories in Catalonia (Celrà, Ciutat Vella district of Barcelona, Girona,
Olot and Palafrugell), and to provide specific measures for assessing and
promoting practices that contribute to fostering processes of community
socio-educational resilience. A mixed methodological approach was followed:
a questionnaire was administered to children and adolescents aged 10-17
(N=1,216) and young people aged 18-29 (N=115), data were collected on 93
resilient practices, 30 interviews were conducted with their referents and 5
focus groups (N=36) were held. The study’s main results are presented in
summary form and a more detailed explanation is given of an analysis model
that makes it possible to understand, analyse and promote the resilient
practices of a community. This model has been operationalised by grouping
20 indicators into three dimensions: Support and personalisation, Collective
action and social capital and Communication actions. It is proposed as a
practical guide, in the form of a checklist, aimed at taking decisions to promote
socio-educational resilience and aimed at professionals, political bodies and
members of the associative network.
