Stop Sexual Harassment in Higher Education! Design of a Brief Training Intervention for University Students

Abstract

[eng] Number 5 of the Sustainable Development Goals of the 2030 Agenda refers to the need to achieve gender equality. This objective includes eliminating any type of discrimination, including sexual harassment, in our society. However, at the institutional level, and, more specifically, in the university environment, we found that there are few measures to prevent this type of discrimination. There is no doubt that, for the creation of an educational environment free of sexual harassment, the teaching of transversal competences, such as gender equality, is essential. However, the teaching of specific contents and technical skills is often given higher priority.
