Diferenciación social entre mujeres africanas y mujeres españolas en la barriada de Son Gotleu en Palma de Mallorca

Abstract

[spa]El objetivo principal del presente estudio es evaluar si existen diferencias sociales entre mujeres africanas y mujeres españolas en la barriada de Son Gotleu. Dentro del mismo estudio, también se pretende verificar si se presentan diferencias entre las mujeres de procedencia africana en dicho barrio. Dadas las dificultades para acceder directamente a estas mujeres, se procedió a concertar entrevistas con profesionales que conocían su situación y problemática. Concretamente, la muestra está formada por un total de 8 profesionales del ámbito psicosocial que trabajan directamente con mujeres de los colectivos estudiado. El diseño de la investigación es cualitativo y como instrumento de evaluación se han llevado a cabo entrevistas en profundidad con cada una de las profesionales. A partir de las entrevistas, se obtuvo una extensa información que confirmo dichas diferencias sociales entre ambos grupos de mujeres. Aunque cabe destacar que dichas diferencias recaen en la procedencia y el aprendizaje en el país de origen y no tanto en ser una mujer de un grupo u otro.

[eng]The main objective of the present study is to evaluate if there are social differences between African women and Spanish women in the Son Gotleu neighborhood. Within the same study, it is also sought to verify if there are differences among women of African origin in that neighborhood. Given the difficulties in accessing these women directly, we proceeded to arrange interviews with professionals who knew their situation and problems. Specifically, the sample is formed by a total of 8 psychosocial professionals working directly with women of the groups studied. The design of the research is qualitative and as an evaluation tool we have carried out in-depth interviews with each of the professionals. From the interviews, an extensive information was obtained that confirmed these social differences between both groups of women. Although it is important to emphasize that these differences depend on origin and learning in the country of origin and not so much on being a woman from one group or another.
