[cat] El sistema elèctric espanyol està format per quatre etapes: generació, transport, distribució i consum. El seu principi bàsic és que la quantitat d’electricitat que es consumeix ha de ser igual a la que es genera. He fet un estudi dels sistemes elèctrics d’Estats Units i França, per veure el seu funcionament i destacar-ne les principals diferències respecte al mercat elèctric d’Espanya. També he elaborat uns gràfics de corbes d’oferta i demanda, a través dels quals es poden explicar perquè per una mateixa demanda d’energia s’ofereixen diferents preus. El preu de l’electricitat al mercat elèctric espanyol el fixa OMEL mitjançant l’elaboració de les corbes d’oferta i demanda per cada hora del dia següent; ho fa de forma ascendent i partint sempre del preu mínim que ha establert prèviament el generador per una quantitat d’energia disponible. Depenent de les tecnologies emprades per a la producció de l’electricitat el preu serà major, si es tracta de recursos no renovables (com els fòssils) o menor si són recursos renovables.

[eng] The Spanish electrical power system consists of four stages: generation, transport, distribution and consumption. Its basic principle is that the amount of electricity consumed must be equal to what is generated. I did a study of the electrical performance in the United States and France in order to show its operation systems and highlight the main differences relating to the Spanish electricity market. I have also developed a supply and demand curves chart, explaining why for the same energy demand, different prices are offered. The price of electricity in the Spanish electricity market is set by OMEL by developing supply and demand curves for each hour of the following day; it does so ascendant and always starting from a minimum price previously set by the generator for an available amount of energy. Depending on the technologies used for the production of electricity, price will be higher, if non-renewable resources (fossil) are used, or lower if renewable resources are the used system.
