La integració lingüística i cultural dels nouvinguts a Menorca

Abstract

[cat] Després de diversos anys de gran moviment migratori, la crisi econòmica va frenar les migracions i els immigrants que arribaven anualment a Menorca es van reduir. Davant de la situació de disminució dels nouvinguts a l’escola, les mesures que es prenien per integrar-los també han disminuït, a causa de la poca demanda i els pocs recursos humans i materials de què disposen els centres educatius. En aquest projecte, es pretén investigar si les mesures actuals d’integració dels nouvinguts als centres educatius de secundària són suficients, com es gestionen els Programes d’Acolliment Lingüístic i Cultural, si són beneficiosos per l’alumnat nouvingut i, en conseqüència, si s’acaben integrant a la societat i aprenen la llengua catalana. Finalment, es realitzaran propostes de millora per ajudar a la integració cultural i lingüística de l’alumnat nouvingut.

[eng] After several years of migratory movements, the economic crisis slowed down migrations and it reduced the immigration that used to arrive annually in Menorca. The number of newcomers in the school had also been reduced and the measures taken to integrate them diminished due to the low demand and the few human and material resources available. The aim of this project is to investigate if the current measures to integrate newcomers to secondary schools are enough, how they manage language and cultural support programs, if they are beneficial for the newcomers and, as a result, if newcomers integrate into society and they learn Catalan. Finally, proposals will be submitted to help the newcomers’ cultural and linguistic integration.
