Henri Cartier - Bresson: l’ull, l’ànima i el cor de la fotografia del segle XX

Abstract

[cat] Henri Cartier-Bresson (Chanteloup, França, 1908 — Provença, França, 2004) va ser un dels grans fotògrafs del segle XX i capdavanter del fotoperiodisme posterior a la Segona Guerra Mundial. Fou també el creador i divulgador del model que influenciarà l’activitat fotogràfica del seu temps i posterior: la concepció del “moment o instant decisiu”. El present treball intenta recollir les seves principals concepcions i idees sobre el món de la fotografia, sintetitzar la seva trajectòria i cercar relacions amb altres disciplines que també pràctica, com el cinema o la pintura.

[eng] Henri Cartier-Bresson (Chanteloup, France, 1908 — Provence, France, 2004) was one of the great photographers of the second half of the 20th century, becoming one of the leaders of photojournalism after World War II. He was also the creator and disseminator of the model that will influence the photographic activity of his time and later: the conception of “the decisive moment”. The present work tries to collect the main ideas of Cartier-Bresson about the world of photography, to synthesise his trajectory and to find relationships with other disciplines that he also practiced, such as cinema or painting.
